Canada is facing a dramatic aging of its population, which is putting enormous pressure on our health care system. Nickel Belt Member of Parliament Marc Serré believes a national seniors strategy is needed to address the demographic shift and help the system adapt to this new reality. Mr. Serré tabled a Private Members’ motion in the House of Commons on Feb. 8 calling for a national coordinated approach. He is also asking the federal government to lead the implementation of such a strategy.
